Follow the steps below to change a Polycom VVX from Lync or Skype for Business to Open Standards SIP. This must be done before provisioning your Polycom VVX phone.
1. On the Idle Screen
2. Press and hold on the keypad 1, 4 and 9 simultaneously
3. Once prompted for the password enter the default password 456 if the phone is unconfigured.
4. Switch from Lync to Generic to enter the SIP mode, the phone will directly reboot and returns in SIP mode.
